About The Reviewer: Gil D. has been a professional computer geek since the 1980's when he first got his hands on a Commodore VIC-20 (Pictured at the left and yes that is William Shatner. Nostalgia is sinking in.).
After typing his first letters on the keyboard Gil's done everything from networking, building PC's from scratch, taking them apart, and figuring out how to make the PC go faster. So with experience (in years) he learned different tweaks and software that helped help boost the computer's speed.
A key speed up discovery is a specific type of software called a “registry cleaner” which optimizes Microsoft's Windows® registry. Guess what? After cleaning and optimizing the registry the PC did run significantly quicker. With such great results a registry cleaner has been his staple software utility program ever since.
With some diligent research he has reviewed the best registry cleaners available so you don't have to.
Here are some questions you need to ask yourself:
- Does it seem like your PC is slowly dying?
- Is your computer crashing or getting errors?
- Does your PC get the "blue screen of death"?
- Do you need to frequently reboot?
- Are you seeing disillusioning .dll errors?
- Are you unable to remove programs using add/remove dialog?
- Is your PC starting up slower than ever?
There's two ways to do this:
1. Go to the PC shop or some type of online PC service and get it repaired for $75 or more.
2. Recover your PC's original out of the box functionality beginnning by completing a scan from a reputable registry cleaner.
Here are the best registry cleaners found (as of July 7, 2011):

It seems your PC needs a cup of "registry cleaner" coffee or a double espresso of "registry clean up". However you want to speed up your PC and fix those annoying registry errors because it can be a frustrating mystery what the registry actually does.
Well lets demystify. The "registry" is what Microsoft Windows uses as journal to log in all of the processes and programs for the OS (operating system) and applications that have been installed into the PC. As you continue to use your PC and install, reinstall and uninstall your programs your PC updates your "journal" or registry conveniently... or so you think.
Unfortunately every version of Windows is flawed or you probably wouldn't be here at Windows - Registry Recovery.
The registry can delete the wrong "log-in" that could have ripple effect on the whole "journal" which would create all the possible problems your experiencing.
Installing, uninstalling, reinstalling, updating and just the continual day in and day out use of the PC can result in increasing amounts of registry errors, blue screens and slower start ups. If your PC works fine you should adopt the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" attitude but in regards to registry problems that's probably a PC that's still in the box and hasn't been used yet.
If your having any of the above problems that have been mentioned it will likely get worse because the registry is like the foundation of Windows and if the foundation is broken or discombobulated something is about to break and collapse. Well what's the next step? The registry needs to be repaired...properly.
You will be surprised at the number of unkown errors that your registry clean up tool finds.
